Princess Diaz with Team Angelz: Hearts In Action

JoJo was my cousin and I miss him everyday.  I started volunteering with Angelz On Deck this year to honor his life by saving other young people from becoming a gun violence statistic. I volunteer as both an accountant and at community events, like the Summer Jump-Off, which gives the youth and their families a fun day filled with games and prizes as well as access to community resources for mental health, gun safety, mentorship, and summer camp scholarships. 

I am honored to be a part of this group that extends JoJo's memory, allowing his life to carry on through the lives of each youth and family impacted by the programs and events Angelz Of Deck.  The passion and dedication of our team and the positive impact we are having on youth is amazing! 

Empowering young people through mentorship, creative expression, and opportunities aligns perfectly with my values, and I want to ensure that more young people have access to these incredible programs.

My personal goal is to raise $2,500 to support Angelz On Deck's expansion of JoJo'z Talent Expo so that they can incorporate long-term relationships with mentors to guide and help develop the talents of our youth
