The Snyder Family for Vocal Youth Miami

Our family has been part of VYM since our kids were just four, starting with Kindermusik. By the time they joined camp in third grade, the twins were still finding their way, struggling to regulate their emotions when they felt sensory overwhelm. But VYM’s leadership was incredibly patient and supportive, helping them build both confidence and self-regulation.

Now, in their last year of Prelude, they sing with confidence, carrying the love and grace that VYM has shown them into their everyday lives. We’ve seen them become more confident, kind, and understanding—not just on stage, but in their interactions with others. Their communication and emotional skills have grown, thanks in large part to the dedication and care of VYM’s staff and leadership.

VYM offers youth remarkable opportunities to explore musical leadership, introducing them to songwriters, musicians, audio/visual technology, and mentorship from talented artists and composers. VYM brings joy, smiles and music to our home!

At Vocal Youth Miami, formerly The Children's Voice Chorus, we are dedicated to empowering empathic, creative young people through the power of vocal music. Our goals are to remove the barriers that prohibit so many deserving young people in Miami to enriching music experiences.
