About UF/IFAS TREC
The UF/IFAS TREC was established in 1929 on an open swath of Pine Rockland. Since then, plants have been introduced for cultivation and conservation tallying up to more than 800 plant species. The primary mission of TREC is research and extension with national and international impact, though we also strive to be good stewards of the local natural resources.

The Pine Rockland at UF/IFAS TREC is our remaining natural habitat on site. It hosts at least 31 rare or imperiled plants, some endemic and some hosts to rare native fauna. The UF/IFAS TREC Agroecology Lab is raising funds to maintain the Pine Rockland at UF/IFAS TREC.

What does my money support?
Conservation efforts for the UF/IFAS TREC Pine Rockland document plant species, maintain the area with controlled burns, offer marked trails and accessibility, and host tours and trainings. Your donation will critically expand the conservation efforts of the Pine Rockland at UF/IFAS TREC.
