Give Miami Day is a fundraising event that aims to support the Miami-Dade community through these existing UF programs that deliver proven results for these residents each and every year:

•UF's Hialeah Dental Center ensures Miami-area adults and children have access to the dental care they need. More than 13,000 locals were treated at this clinic last year. This is one of the few adult Medicaid providers in the area.

•UF's Shelter Medicine program gives animals the medical care they need, a chance for stray animals to find forever homes, and UF veterinary medical students an immersive, real-world experience, in Florida's largest animal shelter. More than 150 UF veterinary medical students have helped the Miami-Date animal shelter achieve over a 90% save rate.

•The UF/IFAS TREC was established in 1929 on relatively undisturbed land (UF/IFAS TREC 2017). Since then, a primary mission has been the purposeful introduction and cultivation of new plant species. Some plants occur at UF/IFAS TREC as collections or for research purposes, while others are found due to natural or accidental means of introduction.
