As a career journalist, I thought I had the dream job. I didn't know it at the time, but it was the career that gave me the skill set, confidence and experience for my real dream job, which is Exchange for Change. Over the last decade, I have learned more about life and humanity and myself from the men and women I have met through this amazing work; incarcerated people who have taught me about resilience and hope, instructors who have taught me humility and grace, and volunteers and interns who have given me a vision of what is possible in the future.
