Help CCLS advocate for immigrants' rights!

Hi there! I'm Heather Odell, an attorney at Catholic Legal Services, where I'm proud to be part of our Labre team (most of us are pictured above!). We work with noncitizens clients who are experiencing homelessness, advocating in their immigration cases and breaking down barriers to accessing important resources in our community. Doing this work is an honor and a privilege. Every day, I learn from my clients -- from their will to overcome and fight for a better tomorrow, and from how they teach me to always be a human first and a lawyer second. I learn from my colleagues, too -- they put their hearts into their work, create safe spaces for each other, and keep us all smiling and celebrating each victory, no matter how small. 

Our Labre team is one of many stellar departments at Catholic Legal Services that advocates for the rights of immigrants. Many of our staff are first and second generation immigrants, an asset that keeps us closely connected to our clients and neighbors, and to their leadership within our communities.
