Change their paths, change their lives. Junior Achievement is dedicated to transforming students' lives by teaching them about money—how to earn it, save it, spend it, and share it. Together with partners like you, we invest in our ongoing mission to change the trajectory of students' lives so they can achieve the American dream, regardless of their background or economic status.
You can help us change the game by supporting Junior Achievement on Give Miami Day, where your impact is maximized thanks to generous matching funds! All proceeds from Give Miami Day will be used to provide JA programming to Miami students who need them most.
Junior Achievement's volunteer-delivered, kindergarten-12th grade programs foster work-readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy skills, and use experiential learning to inspire students to dream big and reach their potential.
During the 2023-2024 school year, nearly 40,000 children received JA learning experiences in Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties, thanks to the efforts of our dedicated volunteers!
Each and every Junior Achievement learning experience is designed to help students connect what they are learning in school to critical real-world concepts. Our goal is to empower the future workforce with the tools they need to succeed in postsecondary education, careers, and life.
About matching funds: All participating organizations qualify for the Bonus Pool percentage match. The bonus gift will be calculated by dividing the total Bonus Pool dollars by the total eligible gifts (between $25 and $10,000) on Give Miami Day. The Miami Foundation determines the Bonus Pool percentage at the conclusion of Give Miami Day. We won’t know the exact amount or percentage until after the big day because, like you, we will be fundraising from now until 11:59 p.m. on Give Miami Day.
Mission
Junior Achievement's mission is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in the global economy. We're inspired by our own community volunteers who not only deliver our lessons, but share their life experiences with students. These volunteers serve as role models helping to positively impact young people's perceptions of education, representation, and critical life skills. For volunteers, we provide training and materials of our proven lessons that promote financial capability, work and career readiness, and business ownership.
