For the last 36 years, Parent to Parent of Miami has advocated and enhanced the lives of children with disabilities and their families.
We are unique in our commitment to addressing the needs of individuals with all types of disabilities, focusing on long-term outcomes such as graduation, post-secondary education, employment, and independent living.
Our Goals
Our organization aims to assist families in connecting, coping, and thriving in their unique circumstances. No other organization in Miami-Dade County provides such a comprehensive team of seasoned coaches, mentors, and leaders well-versed in best practices related to disabilities and serves the full range of disabilities.
The advocacy efforts during school meetings and educational workshops empower families to effectively support their children in achieving developmental, functional, and academic goals. This continuous support enables parents to unlock their children's potential, fostering their ability to lead productive and independent lives to the fullest extent possible.
Parenting children and adults with disabilities presents numerous challenges.
Parent to Parent of Miami addresses these needs by offering personalized guidance, helping parents navigate intricate service systems and accessing the necessary supports and community resources for themselves and their children.

The mission of Parent to Parent of Miami is to empower and support a network of parents who have children and young adults with disabilities.
With a vision that children and adults with disabilities live full, productive lives in increasingly inclusive communities because of the specialized support, hope and hands-on/direct assistance their families received from Parent to Parent of Miami.
