UPG is the first Climate Active organization in South Florida: founded in 2008 to take on the causes and effects of Climate Change.

We don’t just talk about them, we mobilize the community to make South Florida a sustainable place for people and wildlife through projects, policy, and innovation.

Climate Active means fighting the causes and effects of Climate Crisis. There’s work to do, there are people and wildlife that need our help today, and we’re not waiting.

We are working hard and asking everyone to walk the walk with us.

UPG is preparing young people to meet tomorrow’s challenges. We are healing the damage created by past generations, and teaching the future generations how to be more sustainable and resilient.

Mission

UPG is Miami's first Climate Active organization. We have been mobilizing the community to fight the causes and effects of climate change since 2008.

We enable the community through volunteer projects and education to make South Florida a better place to live for people and wildlife.

We are focused on building climate resilience, and Green Defenses for Biscayne Bay, and food security for low-income communities through our Climate Apprentice Program.
