Here's what you need to know: 

Miami’s nonprofits do vital work to address community needs daily. More than ever, communities need to stand together to support them.

1. Your donation goes further on Give Miami Day. 💗

The minimum donation amount is $25, but you can give as much as you'd like to as many organizations or issue areas as you'd like. 

The Miami Foundation spends months leading up to Give Miami Day building a donor audience to help nonprofits fundraise in ways they may not be able to alone. We secure sponsors who will match a portion of the dollars donated to each organization, as well as create special prizes that give nonprofits an extra boost. This means that when you give on Give Miami Day, your donation’s impact is greater than on any other day of the year.

Thanks to an anonymous donor’s Million Dollar Match, $25 will be added to your donations to increase the impact of your gift (until each organization secures a $1,000 match)! 

2. Give Miami Day helps nonprofits do more. 💪

Our nonprofits best understand the needs of our community. For this reason, all donations on Give Miami Day are 100% flexible, meaning nonprofits can allocate funds where they’re needed most. 

In addition to financial support, nonprofits participating in Give Miami Day gain access to capacity- and network-building opportunities to help nonprofit leaders maximize their fundraising through our region’s largest day of generosity.

3. Support for nonprofits this Give Miami Day is more critical than ever. 🤝

Over the last year, our community’s social impact organizations have endured wave after wave of cuts across all government levels. Community needs continue to rise even while funding has dried up. To compound this, work involving issue areas like immigration and racial equity is being explicitly targeted. Given these disproportionate challenges that nonprofits are facing, individual generosity from everyone who lives in or loves Miami is vital this year.

2. Lace up to run, walk, skip, or dance the Give Miami 5K on November 16. 👟

These are miles that matter! When you register, you’ll be directly supporting the nonprofits in our community that do vital work every day to meet Miami’s needs. 100% of the proceeds from your race registration fee will go to any nonprofit approved to participate in Give Miami Day, or to one of our ten issue areas.

3. Join us at the Give Miami Day Festival on November 16. 🎪

Whether or not you participate in the 5K, you're invited to join us at the free post-race Give Miami Day Festival, a chance to celebrate the generosity that moves our community and discover how you can make a difference. You’ll get to learn about issues facing our community, meet nonprofit organizations and understand their work, and raise money to support them. Enjoy performances, prizes, issue area discovery zones, family-friendly activities, food vendors, and a 305-meter Kids’ Dash!
