Yaya Por Vida's Art as Healing program is a beacon of hope for under-represented and under-served communities in Miami. Through peer-led trauma-informed art sessions, workshops, street outreach and community events, we provide a safe and supportive space for individuals to express themselves, heal, and connect with others.


Your donation will directly impact:

  • Local Artists:
    • Providing opportunities for emerging artists to showcase their work.
    • Offering financial assistance to support their artistic endeavors and personal healing journeys.
    • Creating a community of artists to share knowledge, resources and healing spaces.
  • Individuals struggling with addiction: Art sessions % help them cope with the challenges of recovery and develop new skills.
  • Children of parents with substance use disorder: Art can provide a creative outlet and help them process their emotions.
  • LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities: Art can be a powerful tool for self-expression and cultural identity.

  • Funding trauma informed art sessions: Providing one-on-one and group art sessions led by seasoned local artists with lived experience.

  • Providing art supplies and materials: Ensuring that participants have access to the tools they need to create.
  • Funding community art projects: Supporting collaborative art projects that bring people together.
  • Offering emergency aid: Providing financial assistance for basic needs like food, housing, and transportation 1for community leaders, local artists and the community as a whole.
