PACT Power Players Unite: 

Raising $20,000 for Justice in Miami-Dade

In the heart of South Florida, a powerful group of dedicated individuals has come together to ensure justice for the communities that have long been underrepresented and under-resourced. These individuals are the PACT Power Players—a dynamic, interfaith collective determined to raise at least $20,000 to support People Acting for Community Together (PACT) and its ongoing fight for justice across Miami-Dade County.

Comprising 40 congregations from diverse faith backgrounds, PACT is a grassroots movement committed to improving the lives of those who need it most. Over the years, these justice warriors have won significant victories that have changed the landscape of Miami-Dade. Thanks to their tireless efforts, out-of-school 

suspensions have been drastically reduced, allowing students to stay in class and pursue a brighter future. They have also launched anti-gun violence initiatives, pushing back against the growing threat to ensure safer neighborhoods.

PACT's justice warriors have not stopped there. Their advocacy has expanded the tree canopy in high-poverty areas, ensuring that these underserved communities are enriched with nature and environmental justice. They have reduced arrests and decriminalized poverty, fighting to ensure that low-income individuals are not unfairly penalized for circumstances beyond their control. And in a region where affordable housing is scarce, PACT has worked tirelessly to expand housing and rental options for Miami-Dade residents, creating more opportunities for families to find safe and affordable places to live.

Now, the PACT Power Players are banding together with renewed energy and a clear mission: to raise the funds necessary to keep this life-changing work going. Every dollar raised is an investment in the ongoing fight for equity, safety, and dignity for all residents of Miami-Dade County. With $20,000 as their goal, the Power Players are calling on the community to step up and contribute to a cause that has already achieved so much—and promises to do even more.

Together, with the support of donors and allies, PACT’s interfaith band of justice warriors will continue to advance campaigns that seek a more just and equitable future for everyone. From criminal justice reform to environmental sustainability, from expanding educational opportunities to securing housing for those in need, PACT’s mission is clear: to build a Miami-Dade where every person, regardless of background or income, has a chance to thrive.
