What Miam Girls Rock Camp provides is so much more than music programming. A culture of radical kindness and acceptance has developed over time, becoming the very foundation of everything we do as a community. 

Whether at camp or at our Youth Open Mics, young people are truly celebrated and reminded of their intrinsic value, their personal power, and their right to take up space loudly and joyfully. It truly is magical to witness the blossoming of young people in our spaces.

This Give Miami Day is even more important to us than ever. Recent extreme cuts to arts funding in Florida has created a serious deficit for our organization, along with so many others.

Please help strengthen us so we can continue to share this sense of belonging, powerful positivity, and love of music and community with young people by donating today.

What did you learn or experience that will help you outside of camp?

I feel more comfortable being myself and expressing my feelings

That I'll always have a family that will love and support me.  

I learned a lot about healthy interactions and what an inclusive space looked like :) 

Best part of camp?

The environment, no one judges and there is no other space in the world that I feel more accepted than here.

Being able to express my emotions and playing with my band and making new friends. 

Sense of community!

All the people, feeling loved, always having a special family, learning how to make a song & be in a band.
