MORAES is a non-profit organization located in South Florida. They are committed to offering streamlined paths for local students and community members to participate and stay involved in South Florida’s marine science network. Through grant funding, donations, and volunteer efforts, MORAES provides internship opportunities and hands-on experience with coastline enhancements, beach cleanups, data collection, sea turtle monitoring, and cetacean research.
I am the Conservation Intern with MORAES, and I am currently working on outreach and grant writing, social media, sea turtle monitoring, and the CASP program. I am so excited to be a part of the MORAES team and find new ways to involve the community in marine conservation. As a small NPO, donations mean a lot to us!
