Dear Friends and Colleagues,
Thank you for supporting The Melissa Institute for Violence Prevention and Treatment on GIVE MIAMI DAY.
The Melissa Institute was founded in memory of Melissa Aptman, whose tragic murder in 1995 became the inspiration for a mission that, for over 28 years, has touched countless lives. The Institute remains committed to preventing violence through research, education, and community support, aiming to create a world where children, families, and communities thrive in safety and mental well-being.
What makes The Melissa Institute unique is its dedication to providing accessible, research-based resources. Thanks to supporters like you, TMI offers free programs, training, and educational materials, ensuring that evidence-based strategies reach as many people as possible.
Today, TMI is a recognized leader in violence prevention and mental health promotion, both locally and globally. Its highly respected Scientific Board continuously develops innovative strategies that help parents, caregivers, teachers, and leaders create safer environments and foster mental health. From making social media safer for young people to strengthening conflict resolution skills and promoting trauma recovery, TMI's work is building stronger, more resilient communities.
By donating to The Melissa Institute, you directly support these life-saving programs. Your contribution enables TMI to continue offering these services to those who need them most, helping schools manage conflict, supporting parents, and aiding communities in trauma recovery.
Thank you for your generosity and commitment to help repair the world.
Together, we ARE making a difference.
