Debris Free Oceans is a Miami-based organization that inspires local communities to responsibly manage the lifecycle of plastics and waste as part of a global initiative to eradicate marine debris from our beaches, reefs, and oceans. DFO has educated over 12,000 students about plastic pollution, removed over 50,000 lbs of ocean bound trash in Miami, and has engaged almost 15,000 individuals at zero-waste lifestyle events. For this year’s Give Back Miami Day, we’re hoping to raise money to help DFO continue the amazing work of empowering South Florida to minimize the environmental harm and public health hazards brought on by plastic production, consumption, and disposal. Anything helps!
