Girl Scouts has been a part of my life since I joined as a Brownie in 1991. Earning my Silver and Gold Awards—the highest honors in Girl Scouting—ignited my passion for leadership, service, and empowering others. As a teenager, I mentored a new troop and created resources for leaders to pass on the same transformative experiences, skills, and friendships that shaped me. These experiences defined my childhood and laid the foundation for who I am today, continuing to enrich my life in meaningful ways.

When my oldest daughter started kindergarten, I was filled with nostalgia at recruitment night and knew instantly that we needed to form our own troop. Today, I have the privilege of leading Troop 2411, where my daughter and 18 other incredible girls are discovering their potential. I’ve seen girls find their voice, friendships form, and leadership skills develop—all while having fun and learning to take risks in a safe, supportive space.

Girl Scouts is a lifelong experience that provides enrichment at every stage of life, encouraging us to lead, serve, and connect. For me, it’s been a source of personal growth and community—from the leaders who inspired me as a child to the remarkable women I volunteer with today. For my daughter and the entire troop, it’s a place where they can grow into strong, confident individuals ready to change the world.
