Hi everyone! Erin here, the Education and Outreach Manager at Miami Waterkeeper. I'm so excited to be fundraising for our organization this Give Miami Day! As many of you know, I work hard to connect our community to the fantastic waterways here in South Florida.

At Miami Waterkeeper, we're dedicated to protecting South Florida's waters through advocacy, science, and community-driven solutions. Our approach is grounded in scientific research, rooted in nature, and driven by the needs and input of our diverse community. As the only local nonprofit focused on ensuring swimmable, drinkable, fishable water for all, we provide decision-makers with the latest scientific research to shape sustainable policies and engage people of all ages, especially students, in hands-on environmental education and civic action.

The health of treasured places like Biscayne Bay matters to all who call South Florida home. That's why we work tirelessly to advocate for policies and projects that promote clean water, protect habitats, and increase our resilience against sea level rise.

This Give Miami Day, I'm raising funds to make our Education and Outreach programs more equitable and accessible, especially for students and the public from underserved communities in Miami. We also aim to offer paid internships to diverse students, providing valuable experience and opportunities in environmental work.
