Inaugural Culinary Arts & Nutrition Program Prepares Us For Next Step...

The TRS Social Enterprise Culinary Project

Donate To Our TRS Social Enterprise Culinary Project

Chef Eric With Our Culinary StudentsOur inaugural Culinary program launched October 2024 and was "oversubscribed" with eight enthusiastic students from TRS.  They are studying a comprehensive Culinary Curriculum taught by our partner Chef Eric Stein of The Healthy Kitchen Miami.  Chef Eric is supported by therapeutic TRS staff working with closely with each student to ensure effective learning, kitchen safety and developing practical kitchen skills for future application.

This program prepares us for the launch of our Rising Start Social Enterprise Culinary Project in early 2025.

The Social Enterprise PMaking Delicious Butternut Squash  Ravioliroject will have our students designing and preparing delicious recipes for full meals, appetizers, desserts and other foor products for sale to the public. Ultimately,  our goal is a scaled up Culinary Social Enterprise  operating  out of our partner commercial kitchen and/or Food Truck

This program requires significanly greater instructional and therapeutic  support resources than a traditional culinary program. Many of our families require financial aid to provide their children access to this wonderful program.  You can make all the difference.

Our Culinary Students Ready To Serve Free Meals To Our Community

The Rising Start Culinary & Nutrition Program's first community initiative is to prepare and serve free, nutritious, freshly prepared meals to Food Insecure members of our community.  We have three events scheduled for the last quarter of 2024 and look to continue and expand this important initiative in 2025.

This part of the program is designed to provide "hands-on" kitchen and hospitality experience for our students in preparation for the rollout of our Social Enterprise Food Truck and Catering Project.  Please help us by contributing to the purchase of food ingredients and materials as well as professional chef supervision for our delicious prepared meals.
