Who hosts Give Miami Day?
Give Miami Day is hosted by The Miami Foundation, a community foundation building a Greater Miami where everyone can thrive. Since 1967, The Foundation has invested over $650M to strengthen our community in partnership with more than 1,000 fundholders and 50,000 donors. By accelerating leadership, generosity, and a sense of belonging across Miami, we inspire people to become changemakers, and we create ways for donors, nonprofits, leaders, and locals to work together on solutions for our community.
Who can make a gift?
Anyone! This event is open to the public and anyone across the globe may participate by making a gift online.

How does it work?
We encourage you to connect with your Relationship Manager at your External Provider before or after checkout, to ensure a smooth transfer.
My external provider has a minimum amount for grant payments.
Keep in mind your External Provider's minimum amount for grant payments. Your External Provider will need to send payment to each organization you select, therefore the amount you donate to each organization should meet that requirement.
Will gifts made using the External Provider payment method qualify for Bonus Pool and prizes?
Eligible gifts between $25 and $10,000 will qualify for the primary issue area Bonus Pool percentage (up to $10,000 of every gift is eligible). You may also make a donation directly to any Bonus Pool category issue area by selecting it and adding it to your cart.
The Miami Foundation fundraises for two types of bonus pools:
The bonus gift is calculated by dividing the total dollars in your primary category bonus pool by the total eligible gifts (between $25 and $10,000) made to organizations in your primary category bonus pool (up to $10,000 of every gift is eligible). The Miami Foundation determines the Bonus Pool percentage at the conclusion of Give Miami Day because, like you, we are fundraising all the way through Give Miami Day.

What is Early Giving?

Why did we add an Early Giving period?
We are always in search of new ways to increase critical support and funding for our local organizations, and we've seen many other giving days implement an Early Giving period with great success! The main purpose of the Early Giving period is to give increased flexibility to many organizations and donors who may not be able to get all of their donations in during the 24 hours of Give Miami Day. Note: Eligible Early Giving donations (gifts between $25-$10K) will still qualify for the general Bonus Pool
