Study Buddies of Miami is an organization that students established for students. We recruit high school students who have academic understanding and ease to tutor students struggling in school. All of our services are offered for free by our volunteers. Most of our offerings are done virtually through Zoom; however, we also offer face-to-face tutoring at local schools that can accommodate it. We know that there will be students whom we cannot serve. When this happens, we try to provide them with scholarships for private tutoring services, such as SAT/Test Prep. We work with local tutors, negotiate a reasonable price, and then use our funds to pay for the service.
Mission
We live in a world where one of the larges obstacles in the way of a great education is a family's ability to pay for tutoring. The mission of Study Buddies of Miami is to provide all students with free tutoring. We do this by providing quality high school volunteers to tutor any struggling student in grades K-12. In return, our volunteers receive community service hours, that can assist them in earning much needed scholarships when applying for college.
