The South Florida Community Development Coalition (SFCDC) is an expansive member-led network of community and economic development practitioners serving low-income people and places across Miami-Dade County. Our mission is to engage, educate, and empower community builders tackling some of our most challenging place-based issues. Community development is about ensuring quality of life for all. It is resource-intensive work that requires a lot of intricate moving parts. We are here to serve as an intermediary by organizing those parts so we scale and sustain collective impact. We appreciate your support to help build communities and develop assets

Founded in 2007, our coalition members include public, private, and nonprofit practitioners.  We coordinate and elevate the efforts of our members and stakeholders through advocacy, capacity building, and technical assistance. Today, SFCDC entails over 1,350 members such as administrators, developers, financiers, planners, policymakers, service providers and more. Our coalition-building strategy is rooted in a climate, racial, and spatial justice approach to addresses a wide spectrum of interconnected issues. These include enhancing and promoting community engagement, climate resilience, housing affordability, and small business growth.
