Rescue Paws 4 Furry Hearts, Inc.

Rescue Paws 4 Furry Hearts, was founded in 2015 by Sandra McGlynn. In the past 8 years we have rescued over 365 dogs and about 7 of those dogs have become either Emotional Support dogs, Therapy dogs or Service dogs through rescue partners we have worked with over the years, Wolfhound Legacy in Cape Coral and Applause your Paws (through their non-profit organization, Magic City K-9). These rescue dogs have assisted veterans with PTSD, as well as individuals suffering from mental health disorders.
RP4FH is a foster-based animal rescue that depends on the help and support of fosters to rescue and rehabilitate needy dogs in the community. We pride ourselves in the thorough rehabilitation of the dogs we rescue before finding them homes. We ensure that all adopted dogs are healthy and well behaved. If there are any behavior concerns we make sure we provide the necessary resources to educate the adopting families to make sure that the dogs end up and stay in the right homes. We see our rescues as family not just animals. These animals deserve a second chance and it is our job to do just that.
Rescue Paws 4 Furry Hearts has worked with both an Eagle Scout Troop as well as a Girl Scout Troop to enhance the programs and operations of our rescue group. Over 3 summers ago an Eagle Scout chose to do his final Eagle Scout project to help the puppies in our rescue. He and his Eagle Scout Troops created a covered play area for the rescue puppies so that they have a safe and interactive place to exercise and socialize with other litter mates. They had multiple fundraisers to raise the funds needed to cover all the expenses that the project was to entail. The finished project was amazing and now thanks to this young man our rescue puppies have a safe place to play. We also worked with another Eagle Scout who did his final Project to help our rescue as well by fundraising in order to help us add a rescue bath station to our current rescue area.
