Thank you for considering a donation to Disability Independence Group (DIG), where we believe in a world where individuals with disabilities are not just included but thrive in every aspect of life. Our mission is to expand opportunities for participation, education, employment, and acceptance through advocacy, litigation, education, and training. At DIG, we work every day to break down barriers, challenge discrimination, and ensure that people with disabilities have equal access to everything society has to offer.
Why Your Support Matters
DIG’s work is centered on creating tangible, lasting change for individuals with disabilities. From promoting inclusive policies to providing vital resources, we strive to make sure that every person, regardless of their disability, has the opportunity to live a fulfilling and independent life. This is not just about advocating for rights; it's about ensuring that individuals with disabilities can fully participate in their communities, enjoy social interactions, and live without fear of discrimination or harm.
Your donation will help us continue this important work, ensuring that we can reach more people, offer more services, and expand our programs to further promote inclusion and equality.
Our Signature Projects: The Wallet Card Project & Supper Social Club
We are proud to offer two signature projects that are at the heart of our mission: The Wallet Card Project and the Supper Social Club. These initiatives are designed to foster safety, inclusion, and fun for individuals with disabilities, while also educating the broader community about the value of inclusion.
The Impact of Your Donation
Your donation will have a direct and meaningful impact on the lives of individuals with disabilities:
- $25 could provide one person with a Wallet Card and access to an online safety training session.
- $30 could help fund one person attending an event at the Supper Social Club, giving individuals with disabilities a chance to connect and enjoy themselves in a safe, inclusive space.
- $100 could fund a training session for law enforcement officers, teaching them how to effectively communicate with and understand people with disabilities.
- $500 could support the development of new educational materials for both the Wallet Card Project and Supper Social Club.
- $1,000 could sponsor an entire Supper Social Club event, providing a memorable evening of food, fun, and community for participants.
No matter the size of your donation, your contribution will play a crucial role in helping us continue our work. Every dollar raised goes directly toward expanding our programs and making a real difference in the lives of people with disabilities.
Join Us in Making a Difference
By donating to DIG, you are not just supporting an organization; you are investing in a vision of a more inclusive world where everyone, regardless of ability, can live safely, confidently, and fully integrated into their community. Your generosity will help ensure that we can continue advocating for the rights of individuals with disabilities, while also providing them with the tools and opportunities they need to thrive.
Together, we can:
- Expand our Wallet Card Project to reach more individuals with disabilities, providing them with the tools they need for safe interactions with law enforcement.
- Grow the Supper Social Club, giving more people with disabilities the chance to build friendships, reduce social isolation, and experience the joys of community engagement.
- Offer more training sessions to law enforcement and community organizations, creating a safer, more inclusive environment for everyone.
- Develop new programs and resources that address the evolving needs of the disability community.
We invite you to join us in this mission. Your support will make a lasting difference. Thank you for standing with us and for helping us build a world where inclusion and equality are the norm, not the exception.
