Coral Gables Art Cinema

Since opening our doors October 15, 2010 our nonprofit cinema and its preeminent cultural programming has taken root and served over 400,000 customers. The success of our offerings to the public has infused over $18 million into the local economy. Serving the public 365-days a year by showing over 180 films in that time has created a much needed business driver for our neighbors.

Coral Gables Art Cinema is a first-rate institution and boasts world-class leadership in its board of directors, including: Mitchell Kaplan, who reinvented the community bookstore and has been profiled by the New York Times; Steven Krams a recognized leader in the international cinema industry; Don Slesnick, former Coral Gables Mayor; David Duckenfield, former Deputy Assistant Secretary in the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Public Affairs; Marlin Ebbert, Steven Eisenberg, Flavio Landivar, Michael Levitz, Gustavo Lopez, Paul Lowenthal, Midge Blumberg-Krams, Misha Mladenovic and Aura Reinhardt.

Coral Gables Art Cinema is one of the brightest beacons the region has to offer. Now, it's time to build upon our thirteen years of success and expand our commitment to the community by making our jewel in the Gables sustainable for generations to come.

Your tax-deductible donations and pledges will support our expansion into 240 Aragon Avenue which will feature a large modern lobby, cafe featuring local specialties, 90-seat deluxe auditorium, and additional offices.

The additional space will increase our annual attendance to 80,000 with an expected annual economic impact of $3 million.
