Fantasy Theatre Factory (FTF) serves all of Miami-Dade County with its amazing theatre programs on tour and at our home venue, the Sandrell Rivers Theater in Miami's Liberty City.
On tour, FTF offers the very best in Theatre-for-Young-Audiences (TYA) to every neighborhood in Miami-Dade through its touring to neighborhood schools, parks, afterschool programs, community centers, and more! Most programs are offered free of charge for children/families in low-income, and at-risk neighborhoods. FTF offers shows focused on protecting our fragile South Florida Environment such as The Never Everglades, and The Three Mess-Keteers, programs focused on Black History such as our brand new Heroes In My House, A Magical Journey Through Black History, and other programs encouraging diversity and discouraging bullying such as Wizards, Dragons and Books… Oh My! FTF also offers cultural arts workshop residency programs serving children with special needs with the City of Hialeah, and a year-long cultural arts residency program with Miami Gardens Elementary School.
Our programs at the Sandrell Rivers Theater offer something for everyone, from our award-winning concerts featuring Grammy-winning Artists such as Nestor Torres to community favorites such as the legendary Melton Mustafa Jr., to our Art@SRT program which showcases local visual artists, to our Community Arts Partnership (CAP) program which invites smaller cultural organizations to partner with FTF to present their work on the mainstage at the Sandrell Rivers Theater with financial barriers to the presentation of their work removed. FTF also produces a great Summer Theatre Arts Camp for underserved children at the Sandrell Rivers Theater, with most children receiving full or partial scholarships!
FTF produces well over 500 events on tour and at the Sandrell Rivers Theater, serving a combined South Florida Audience of over 140,000 people each season! FTF focuses most of its efforts on bringing theatre and cultural program
Mission
Fantasy Theatre Factory (FTF) is dedicated to creating original, quality educational theatrical programs for children, families, and the public, and to expanding access to these programs to more people of all cultures and backgrounds, including those from underserved communities. FTF seeks to cultivate, foster, sponsor and develop appreciation, understanding, taste and love of the cultural arts among the public- with a special emphasis on serving children. Programs supporting literary and environmental education are core components of FTF's Mission. FTF serves its audiences at the Sandrell Rivers Theater and on-tour throughout the state of Florida and beyond.
