Florida L'Opera & Zarzuela recognizes the need of providing more alternatives to access Opera and Zarzuela performances at a lower cost. And therefore, brings performances closer to underserved communities so that everyone has an opportunity to enjoy masterpieces that are worth preserving as part of our cultural background. Florida L'Opera & Zarzuela provides tickets at a lower than average cost, and participates in programs from Miami Dade County such as Golden Ticket, and Culture Shock by donating tickets to seniors and young adults to attend performances for free.
Furthermore, Florida L'Opera & Zarzuela strives to preserve Zarzuela as an essential cultural element of the common musical heritage shared by immigrants from Spanish speaking countries residing in the United States, and further develops the genre with the corresponding adaptations to bring Zarzuela closer to the American audience.

At Florida L'Opera & Zarzuela, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization for the Performing Arts, we strive to enrich the cultural landscape within our community through performance, research, and education of the vast lyric repertoire, including Opera, Zarzuela, and Oratorio.
We inspire audiences of all ages through our performances and at the same time we educate the audience in the history and background of our beloved Performing Arts, thus contributing to the preservation and development of our musical heritage.
It is also an important part of our mission to provide singers of all ages and diverse backgrounds with the opportunity of developing and growing their artistic skills. From the young to the seasoned artist, everyone has an opportunity to audition and volunteer at Florida L'Opera & Zarzuela.
