DOGS ON THE MOVE by Pawsitive4LIFE, Inc. was established in November 2011. While many pets are adopted, many more face the possibility of euthanasia if they are not rescued and re-homed quickly from the shelter. Our main goals have been to rescue animals from high kill shelters in South Florida where they will be medically/behaviorally cleared before being placed up for adoption to find wonderful local homes or made available to be transported safely to 501(c)3 rescues and no kill shelters throughout the United States where they will be re-homed.
To date, we have transported more than 7500+ animals, nearly all of whom are in permanent and loving homes. The Dogs on the Move Program works hand in hand with the shelter's rescue and transport staff to get as many dogs and cats on the road as possible to quality new families. We have worked with wonderful Transport Partners from Kansas to Vermont and from South Carolina to Massachusetts and we are always open to invite new partners to join. Many of our partners are 501(c)(3) rescues that work with a network of fosters prior to adoptions, and others are no-kill shelters that are able to house and give vet care to animals prior to adoptions. All of our Transport Partners are fully checked as being reputable with high standards prior to pets being taken to them. We meet the Transport Partners ourselves and take photos and tour their facilities. We ask for updates and photos of our pets from them in return, particularly when the pets are adopted and in their new homes. Please be advised that DOGS ON THE MOVE by Pawsitive4LIFE collaborates with numerous 501(c)(3) rescues and no-kill shelters in a effort to save as many animals as possible.
Since 2021 DOGS ON THE MOVE additionally has focused on rescuing the more critically ill and injured pups. These cases range from gravely ill dogs infected with the deadly parvovirus, to life threatening parasite infestation and malnourishment, to broken legs/hips caused by vehicular or other blunt force traumas. Each of our dogs are provided the care needed no matter what! To date each pups saved has been able to recover and lead a happy life! We are happy to say this year we have cared for over 40 medical cases and among those cases all but 10 are in amazing homes! The other 10 are patiently waiting to meet their fur-ever family <3

DOGS ON THE MOVE by Pawsitive4LIFE, Inc is a 501(c)(3) non profit based out of South Florida. Our mission since 2011 has been to rescue and transport animals from high kill shelters in South Florida to responsible 501(c)(3) rescues and no kill shelters for re-homing. Our primary goal is to secure the safe haven of as many shelter animals as possible by adopting them locally and transporting them out of South Florida and into other areas of the country and state where they will be placed into loving homes. To accomplish this our focus is to raise the funds needed to rescue and re-home as many animals as possible each and every month. We work hard with the shelters and our amazing Transport Partners across the country to fill the van with urgent pets that would have otherwise not have had a second chance at life.
