DFE has been teaching future leaders since 1955 and is a vital component of our community. Our PTA puts in a lot of effort to assist our educators and children so that DFE can maintain its motto, "A Nice Place to Grow."
Our PTA is dedicated to supporting our kids, teachers, and administration throughout the 2024–2025 academic year.
Our cherished Twiglet Bank Caboose underwent extensive improvements last year, made possible by your kind donations. Twiglet Bank is a unique and special section of David Fairchild Elementary where our children may learn about saving and depositing money into their own bank account. In addition, our PTA purchased new soccer goals and multipurpose netting for physical education.
We went on to improve our outdoor classroom by adding extra seating and shade where teachers and kids can benefit from the outdoor environment while learning.
This year, we want to keep supporting all of the main PTA-sponsored programs:
- Reading Program: Promote lifelong reading skills in all the kids and incentivize the love and joy for reading. This program includes an Accelerated Reader Program, Birthday Book Club, Lunch Bunch, Book Fair, and support for our Media Center.
- Fitness, and Mental Health Program: Promote a holistic, healthy lifestyle, emphasizing the importance of kids' physical and mental health. This program includes Field Day, Challenge to Change, Field Trips, and our new mindfulness series with kids receiving yoga, breathing exercises, and concentration.
- Community Development and Curriculum Program: Promote activities that cultivate a bigger sense of community and enrich our kid’s development. This program includes support for extracurricular clubs like the Botany Club, Twiglet Bank, Student Council, Safety Patrols, WKID (Internal School TV Show), Community Events, and Recycling Program, among others.
4. Computer Lab Initiative: Upgrading the computers and equipment in the children's computer lab ensures they have access to the latest technology, empowering them to learn and enjoy interactive, innovative tools.

David Fairchild Elementary (DFE) aspires to provide an egalitarian and thriving environment for students.
An setting where they can fulfill their greatest potential through academic achievements, social relationships, and self-acceptance. Every student's welfare is of utmost importance to DFE, and the organization is unstoppable because of parent involvement, open communication, and the development of positive connections between parents/guardians, instructors, students, and administrators!
The DFE Parent Teacher Association (PTA) works toward the following objectives in order to carry out its mission:
Encourage and participate in initiatives that enhance children's growth, such as:
Initiatives for Computer Labs, Reading Programs, Wellness, Fitness, and Mental Health Programs, Curriculum and Community Development Programs, including School Clubs, and Assistance for Classrooms Teachers Program; Encourage volunteer participation to support our programs and events.
