The Barracuda Band Magnet is one of the most prestigious high school music programs in Miami, Florida. Accepting applicants after competitive auditions, our band program promotes discipline, teamwork, maturity, academic and individual growth, and fun.

The Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, and Jazz Band have all consistently made Superior ratings at the Florida Bandmasters Association Music Performance Assessments. Our bands have won first place at Band Festivals in Orlando, FL and Williamsburg, VA in addition to being invited to perform at the prestigious Music for All National Festival in Indianapolis, IN. The school has also been represented in the All-State and Superintendent's Honor Band for the last 15 years, with the highest number of representatives from Miami-Dade County.

The objective and purpose of the Barracuda Band is to promote, maintain, and enhance a program for the advancement of music education and the arts by creating meaningful dialogue between students, teachers, parents, and our high school's community.

The Barracuda Band Parent Association provides the vehicle through which funds may be raised for resources which include, but are not limited to, instruments, sheet music, equipment, uniforms, transportation, registration for music festivals, awards to recognize student achievement, providing for private instructors and other benefits deemed appropriate for the advancement and support of our program not covered or available through the school or program budget.
