Coral Gables Preparatory Academy PTSA

Founded in 1923, and ONE HUNDRED years later, Coral Gables Preparatory Academy (CGPA) and its PTSA still believes that “Beautiful things inspire higher ideals in the mind of children” – George Merrick.

With this thought in mind, this year, our goal is to raise $15,000 to enhance the old Gazebo Garden, by bringing in picnic style, tables to create and promote an inspiring outdoor learning environment for our children. 

Our priorities are:

1. Picnic tables for old gazebo area
2. Umbrellas for old gazebo area
3. Increase financial support for extra-curricular activities

We are the PTSA of Coral Gables Preparatory Academy, a Miami-Dade County Public School with over 800 students in grades PK-8.  CGPA prides itself on offering a challenging, yet engaging, curriculum to all its students, and has achieved an A grade since 2000.

As CGPA PTSA, our greatest initiative is to enrich all students' education through programs that are not currently funded by the state or district.  In the past, we’ve helped fund programs such as Accelerated Reader (AR), BrainPOP, Scholastic and Time for Kids magazine subscriptions, and National Junior/Elementary Honor Societies.  We have also funded our Media Center updates with the purchase of more functional, collaborative tables and chairs and supplies for our PE, music, and art classes.  Our latest achievement is the addition of school art beautification to both campuses.  You can learn more about our PTSA at www.cgpaptsa.com 

How can you help:

1. Donate.  Your donation will go such a long way!
2. Spread the Word – share the link with family, friends, dentist, mail man, etc!  Chat about it with a neighbor!
3. Volunteer.

We strongly believe that providing ample resources to support various styles of learning is crucial for a successful education.
