Art Prevails Project

Art Prevails Project produces full theatrical and multidisciplinary performances that are rooted in frameworks of cultural awareness, social justice and equity.
We hold annual creative arts summer camps where youth, primarily from under-resourced communities, are instructed in creative writing, drama, dance, visual art, musical production and vocal technique.
Along with our work with youth during the summer, Art Prevails Project teaching artists maintain residencies in juvenile detention centers where they engage the youth in creative expression experiences geared to promote social and emotional health.
In the community, outside of our performances, we create platforms for emerging and aspiring artists to express their creativity through salons, open mics, workshops and more.
All of this is in an effort to utilize the arts as both tool and weapon to create, strengthen and galvanize communities.
