Our Mission

The Alliance for Aging, Inc. is the designated Area Agency on Aging for Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties. We promote and advocate for the optimal quality of life for older adults and their families by connecting them to essential services that keep them healthy, safe, and independent.

How We Make a Difference

Through our programs and partnerships, the Alliance helps thousands of older adults every year:

Aging & Disability Resource Center (ADRC): A single, coordinated point of entry to aging services, connecting older adults and caregivers to trusted providers and resources.
SHINE Program: Free, unbiased Medicare counseling by trained volunteers to help older adults make informed health-care decisions.
Community Programs: Funding and oversight for in-home and community-based services that meet federal and state standards of care.
Healthy Aging Programs: Workshops and virtual gatherings like Live, Learn, Grow that promote connection, learning, and well-being.

The Mission of the Alliance for Aging is to help and facilitate the elder population of South Florida to remain at home and avoid placement in an elder care, memory care or assisted living facility.
