The PTSA at Young Women’s Preparatory Academy is excited to participate in this year's Give Miami Day Campaign. Our school has maintained a School of Excellence "A" grade for several years in a row and in addition, according to the 2024 U.S. News & World Report, YWPA is ranked #5 in MDCPS High Schools; #13 in Florida High Schools; #28 in Magnet High Schools; and #102 National Ranking (out of over 20,000 US high schools). YWPA has also been named as an Apple distinguished school for 2024-2027.
The primary goal of this campaign is to improve interior and exterior spaces where educators, students, parents, and the wider community work together to support and boost the academic development of the students.

Main Goals:
- Purchase indoor modular furniture to provide our Lady Monarchs comfortable seating areas to explore while not inside the classrooms and avoid sitting on the floors
- Expand outdoor seating by incorporating shading/umbrellas and new tables/benches to provide alternate classroom spaces for intructional and club time while protecting our students from the weather elements and hot asphalt and revamp out door mural
- Enhance the cafeteria to be able to turn it over to a "cafetorium" for the schools special events that are mostly organized, produced and executed by our own Lady Monarchs
How does Give Miami Day work?
Minimum donation is $25.
During Early Giving, 11.17.24 - 11.21.24, the first $25 of each unique (individual) donation made to YWPA-PTSA is matched by Give Miami Day, up to $1000. This match means that a donation of $50 will be boosted by an additional $25 from The Miami Foundation!
The 24-Hour giving period where special prizes are awarded will take place on November 21st from 12:00AM thru 11:59PM.

Young Women’s Preparatory Academy serves grades 6-12. Its Vision is to nurture, empower, and educate girls during a fundamental time in their lives. It's Mission is dedicated to excellence through a challenging STEAM curriculum through the use of technology to lead in local and global communities.
