Since the agency's inception, Youth Co-Op has held high standards while working towards helping individuals and families to become economically and socially empowered. Through our programs, we serve over 100,000 individuals annually providing services throughout Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties and beyond. As it nears its 50th year, Youth Co-Op operates the following programs:


•Workforce services for youth and adults, including work readiness workshops, job and career counseling, customized training, on-the-job training, vocational training services, direct job placement, and support services.


•Specialized youth services, including after-school tutoring, career counseling, financial literacy training, leadership activities, mentoring opportunities, parental skills workshops, basic skills training & GED tutoring, work readiness training, crime prevention, school-based drop-out prevention services, case management, paid and unpaid internships, and industry-focused career pathways.


•Kindergarten through 12th grade public, Title 1 charter school that provides all students with a safe, high quality, rigorous education and strives for the students to be college and/or career ready by the time they graduate high school to succeed in an ever-changing global economy and make a difference in the community. 


•Refugee Resettlement services, which include time-limited cash assistance, case management services, English classes, job readiness and employment services, all designed to facilitate refugees' successful transition to life in the U.S. and help them attain self-sufficiency in as short period as possible.


•Immigration & Citizenship services: expert representatives certified by the Bureau of Immigration Appeals, who help and guide individuals with legal services. Immigrants participate in orientation sessions & receive one-on-one counseling to discuss their immigration matters.

Mission

Youth Co-Op, Inc. was founded in 1973 as a private 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation in Florida with a mission of promoting the social well-being of youth and families in South Florida through programs that emphasize education, employment, and empowerment. We are dedicated to accomplishing this mission in partnership with schools, employers, government, and other non-profit organizations, helping youth and families escape the cycle of poverty and transform their lives via the most direct and cost-effective route: academic and career success.
