DASH: Young Designers Scholarship Fund provides exceptional Design and Architecture Senior High students access to transformative pre-college experiences that build confidence, prepare them for higher learning, and eliminate barriers to educational opportunities. Through full scholarships to programs at the School of Visual Arts and Parsons the New School of Design in New York, the fund ensures that talented students can learn from leading educators and professionals, gain college credits, develop strong portfolios, and receive mentorship, all at no cost to them.  These pre-college experiences enable students to develop compelling portfolios, earn college credits, and gain invaluable professional mentorship, supporting their path to higher education and professional success.

Mission

The DASH: Young Designers Scholarship Fund is committed to the education of outstanding Design and Architecture Senior High students. These initiatives support informed and engaged communities, connecting students to educators, mentors, and future colleagues. Partnering with world-class institutions such as Parsons School of Design and School of Visual Arts has given students from DASH access diverse cultural experiences, fundamentally shaping their futures.

Initiated by Rosa de la Cruz in partnership the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, the Key Biscayne Community Foundation has initiated ongoing fundraising efforts to match the Knight's contributions, ensuring the sustainability of these programs for years to come.
