We Stand Together, Inc.

We Stand Together, Inc. (WST) was established because our late founder, Natalie Marc Surpris was diagnosed at the young age of 38 with stage 4 colon cancer. As we learned more about colon cancer through Natalie’s journey, we also met many more young adults, especially young minorities who were battling colon cancer. This prompted our devotion to raising awareness about cancer, especially in underserved and at-risk communities.

We organize various events throughout the year within the community, such as our Blue Hope Colon Cancer Awareness 5K, Community Health Fairs, and our WST Table Talk series, in an effort to educate, and raise awareness about cancer. Our goal is to make a difference by educating the community about the importance of early screening and encouraging members of the community to live healthy lifestyles. 

We provide support to individuals and families in our communities impacted by cancer by celebrating and honoring their survivorship, providing care packages to cancer patients at various cancer centers, and providing financial support to assist with living expenses and scholarships for college. 

Our WST Financial Assistance Program is awarded to cancer patients who are currently in treatment or in one-year remission and in need of emergency funds to go towards their living expenses.  Our Natalie Marc Surpris Scholarship Fund is awarded to college undergraduate students who have a parent who is/was battling cancer or passed away due to a cancer diagnosis. 

Through our own cancer journey experience with our late Founder and through research, we’ve found that the financial burden with cancer patients is a huge concern.   This is why we established these programs in 2021, and since its conception, we’ve been blessed to provide $33,522 of financial support to cancer patients in the community and $14,000 in scholarships to college undergraduate students in Florida.  We couldn't do it without the support of our community.
