Miami-Dade County thrives because of the incredible immigrant workers that build and grow our community. Yet, their essential contributions are met with wage theft, labor trafficking, dangerous labor conditions, discrimination and harassment – locking them out of opportunities to thrive.

Founded in 2006, WeCount! is a member-led organization of Latin American immigrant workers and families in South Florida. Our members are the essential workers who grow the food we eat; make the plants that beautify our houses, office, and gardens; and build and clean the houses that we live in. WeCount!'s approach combines education, support, and collective action to win better living and working conditions for thousands of workers and families who call Miami their home.

When you support WeCount! on #GiveMiamiDay2024, you're fueling a movement that transforms lives and uplifts entire communities. Here's how your donation makes a real difference:

Empowering Labor Leaders: WeCount! provides leadership development training, health and safety education, and know-your-rights workshops for immigrant workers. These programs equip them with the skills and knowledge they need to become powerful advocates for change.

Amplifying Voices: Our community radio station, Radio Poder 97.7 FM, broadcasts music and education in Spanish and indigenous languages. It's a vital platform that amplifies immigrant voices, preserves cultural heritage, and spreads critical information to those who need it most.

Essential Services: WeCount! offers free social, legal, and survival services to immigrant workers. From legal assistance with wage theft and workplace abuses, to mutual aid and emergency assistance, to on-site clinics and partnerships with social, legal, and public health providers – we're a lifeline for those facing exploitation and injustice.

Climate Justice: We're leading life-saving campaigns like ¡Que Calor! to protect farmworkers and outdoor workers from the escalating dangers of climate change and extreme heat. Your support helps us push for policies and protections that safeguard the lives of those on the frontlines of this crisis.

Advocacy and Action: WeCount! engages in tireless advocacy to stop wage theft, win new rights for plant nursery workers, construction workers, and domestic workers, and expand immigration protections at the local, state, and national level. Your donation fuels our work to create a more just and equitable society for all.

By supporting WeCount!, you're not just donating to an organization – you're becoming a part of a powerful movement for immigrant worker justice. Join us in building a Miami where dignity works and rights of all are upheld, and where those who have been marginalized and exploited for too long can finally thrive.

Stand with us for a future of dignity in the face of adversity by donating to WeCount! this Give Miami Day.

We are worth our work, and together, we can create a world that reflects this truth.
