Surfrider Miami is a 100% volunteer-run nonprofit dedicated to protecting our ocean, waves and beaches, for all people.
This Give Miami Day, we need your help to test 1,000 water sites and keep Miami’s water #SafeToSwim. Just $15 will cover the cost of one water quality lab test, but no gift is too small to make a difference!
Our Blue Water Task Force monitors water quality at 24 sites from Sunny Isles to Bill Baggs State Park each week.
Every Friday, we share up-to-date water quality results, providing our community with essential information just in time for weekend recreation. But our work goes beyond reporting - we also share our data with local policy makers to advocate for improved water quality across our beautiful city.
We hope you will join us in making a splash for cleaner waters!
The Surfrider Foundation is dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world’s ocean, waves and beaches, for all people, through a powerful activist network. It has a proven model for success - a playbook and a team that transforms passion into protection. We continue to leverage that model within our network of chapters and clubs that are run solely by volunteers on a local level.
The Miami Chapter was chartered in 1997, by a group of local water and wave enthusiasts to ensure our beaches and waterways, as well as our beloved ocean, would remain clean for the Miami community to enjoy.
Your donation will help fund Surfrider Foundation Miami Chapter's Programs as well as help our local volunteers to continue winning legislative campaigns to help us all turn the tide on plastic pollution, safeguarding clean water, protecting our shorelines from climate change, and making the beaches and ocean accessible for all!
