Florida Goldcoast Chapter of the Ninety Nine Inc

The Florida Goldcoast Chapter of the 99s strive to expose women and  girls to the unlimited opportunities available to them in the aviation industry. Current statistics show that only 7% of pilots are women and only 3% of professional pilots are women. We hope to increase these percentages through education, networking and mentoring. Some of the community events we host or participate in include Women in Aviation Day with American Airlines, Let's Fly Now (objective is to introduce girls over 14 years of age and women to the joys of flying), Girl Scout Aviation Day, AirRace Classic, Sun 'n Fun Trailblazers in Aviation Luncheon. We also award annual scholarships to women pursuing flight training throughout Miami- Dade county, to pilots who might otherwise not have the opportunity or financial resources. 

The Florida Goldcoast Chapter is a volunteer based organiztion that holds educational seminars, training and speakers throughout their budget year. A donation from Give Miami Day  will assist in furthering community partnered events as well as direct scholarships to aviation students in need of financial support. 100% of your donation here will be utilized to award scholarships to women in need to complete their flight training which enables pilots to obtain necessary qualifications and financial independence. Our scholarship are awarded at our annual December Scholarship luncheon.

Our objectives are simple - to increase awareness to women of all ages to the career opportunities in the aviation industry and to share our love of flying with females of all ages. We hope to increase our educational programs, including aerospace workshops for local teachers, airport tours for school children, and offering more discovery flights and simulator training to peak the passion within our local community.
