24/7, 365 days a year, the American Red Cross is there for communities across South Florida who need us most.
In the aftermath of a disaster, we deliver urgent humanitarian relief and hope to those forced to cope with great loss and uncertainty.
Thanks to the generosity of donors, the Red Cross carries out this work this after large-scale emergencies-like hurricanes, that have become more destructive and more frequent than ever-and after disasters like home fires that upend lives hundreds of times a year across our area.
Over the last fiscal year, the Greater Miami and The Keys Red Cross helped more than 350 families following approximately 220 local disasters. This relief comes in the form of food, shelter, financial assistance, health and emotional support, casework, and so much more.
