SCORE MIAMI DADE

SCORE (https://www.score.org) is a uniquely American organization that synthesizes two national ideals: entrepreneurial spirit and volunteerism. It is dedicated to assisting small business creation, growth, and achievement of business goals through education and mentorship. SCORE has been serving the small business community for over fifty years. The US Small Business Administration (SBA) partners with and supports the efforts of SCORE, providing much of our funding nationally and locally. Thanks to the network of 10,000 + Volunteers, SCORE is able to deliver services at no charge or minimal cost. The Miami-Dade Chapter (SCORE MIAMI DADE ), located in Coral Gables, has been in operation since 1965. It has a robust, dedicated, and engaged cadre of Volunteers that provide services in the following areas :

1. MENTORING: SCORE mentors are there for the life of the small business or entrepreneur, providing guidance on business planning, financial projections, preparations to approach funding resources, and effective marketing and social media strategies. SCORE MIAMI DADE has over 75 engaged and committed Volunteers and nationwide support from other Volunteers who act as subject matter experts in or in a co-mentoring role. In Miami-Dade, mentoring is available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and other languages.

2. EDUCATION: SCORE MIAMI DADE offers local workshops presented by industry leaders on a variety of business topics. The workshops were conducted in person until COVID-19 but then switched to online webinars. Clients can participate in live webinars at no or minimal cost, or view recorded sessions on their own time. The educational sessions are offered in English and in Spanish. Our online library also contains an extensive array of free templates, checklists, blogs, videos, or other helpful resources. 

3. BOARD OF ADVISERS: SCORE offers established small and medium-sized businesses the unique opportunity to have their own Board of Advisors problem solve.
