Over the past five years, Safe Families Miami has connected 126 families in crisis and over 171 children surrounding them with volunteers who provide hope, stability, and support in their time of need.

When crisis strikes, too many families have no one to call. “Poverty and social isolation leave too many parents without support networks when they need them the most,” says Dave Anderson, founder of SFFC. “This can often lead to abuse and neglect of children because families have nowhere to turn.”

Monique’s Story (2025)

During one of the darkest and most painful seasons of my life, when I felt completely overwhelmed and alone, Safe Families stepped in and became the light we so desperately needed." Monique

Monique and her two children, Aaron and Aalani, faced a painful season of instability. Without transportation, resources, or a support system, she felt forgotten and hopeless. But through Safe Families, volunteers brought more than just food, clothing, and a stroller for her children, they brought dignity, friendship, and the reassurance that she was not alone.

"Because of the love and support you poured into me, I found the strength to start over. My children and I were able to move forward with a new sense of faith and determination. Today, I am walking in that new beginning, and I am in the process of becoming a host family myself. I want to be for someone else what you were for me." Monique

Today, Monique and her children are thriving, and her testimony is a reminder that when one family is lifted up, the entire community is transformed.

Every donation builds a safety net for parents and children in Miami who have nowhere else to turn.

$25 Monthly ($300 annually) → Recruits, vets, and trains a Safe Families Volunteer
$50 Monthly ($600 annually) → Supports a Parent Through a Crisis
$100–$125 Monthly ($1,500 annually) → Provides Hosting for ONE Child
$250 Monthly ($3,000 annually) → Wraparound Support for a Family (coaching, mentorship & resources)
