Dear Friends and Supporters,

We are thrilled that Reading is Magic! is participating in Give Miami Day! This is a significant milestone for us, and we are excited about the opportunity to expand our impact within the community.  As a published children’s book author and former President of the South Florida Writers Association, I am a dedicated advocate for fostering a love for reading and writing throughout the South Florida region. 

Our Journey: Reading is Magic! began with a simple yet powerful mission to foster a love of literacy and create positive reading and creative writing experiences for children and adults. Even before becoming a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization, we volunteered at events like the Deering Estate Seafood Festival, The Children's Trust Family Day, The Miami Book Fair, and the Miami-Dade Library System, bringing the joy of reading and creative writing to our community. 

We believe literacy is the foundation for a brighter future, and we are committed to making a difference in underserved communities.

Our Impact in Miami-Dade County: Reading is Magic! is dedicated to being a guiding light of hope and education throughout Miami-Dade County. Through our engaging training programs, creative writing workshops, and community events, we have reached hundreds of children and adults, fostering a love for reading and learning. Our efforts have helped build stronger, more connected communities. 

Our Vision: Now, as a registered nonprofit, we are even more committed to expanding our impact. With the unwavering support of our incredible board and team, we aim to offer a diverse range of programs that promote literacy, engage the community, and make reading accessible and enjoyable for everyone. We envision a future where every child and adult in our community can experience the magic of reading.
