Today, the nation's 3rd largest county park system stewards over 280 parks, 6 marinas, 17 miles of beaches, 5 golf courses, 19 public pools, 3 campgrounds and over 40,000 acres of parks and natural areas.

The Parks Foundation of Miami-Dade's mission is to advance and sustain the community's recreational, educational, environmental and cultural life by mobilizing financial support and popular commitment to Miami-Dade County's parks system.
