At the Oncology Massage Center, Inc. (OMC), we provide a sanctuary of holistic healing for individuals navigating the immense challenges of cancer treatment. Founded in 2021, OMC was created to fill a critical gap in care—offering compassionate, ongoing support beyond the limited treatment options typically available.

Who We Serve:

Our clientele are individuals deeply affected by cancer, including those currently undergoing treatment, survivors managing long-term effects, and caregivers seeking relief from the emotional and physical toll cancer imposes. Many of our clients experience debilitating side effects from chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery, such as chronic pain, fatigue, anxiety, and depression. Survivors often continue to grapple with lingering effects like scar tissue pain and emotional trauma, long after their treatment ends. Meanwhile, caregivers face burnout and fatigue as they support their loved ones through the cancer journey.

Together, these individuals form the heart of our community, and we are dedicated to providing them with the compassionate care and relief they need.

Unlike traditional massage therapy, our services are tailored specifically to the unique and delicate needs of cancer patients. Our therapists are extensively trained in evidence-based, gentle techniques, ensuring each session is safe, effective, and considerate of the client’s specific condition—whether they are actively undergoing treatment or in recovery. We understand the sensitivity required to avoid aggravating symptoms, medical devices, scars, or radiation sites.

We collaborate closely with healthcare providers to ensure our services complement clients' medical treatments. In a community where long waits and limited therapeutic options prevail, we fill a critical gap in care by providing immediate relief and supporting long-term healing. Our services help clients manage symptoms while promoting their overall well-being. By offering a specialized, nurturing environment, we empower clients to regain control and comfort during one of the most challenging times in their lives.

The Urgent Need for Support

The demand for our services is overwhelming. Stories like that of our newest client, who faced a 4.5-month wait for essential treatment, underscore the critical need for expansion. As a solo practitioner, I’ve committed myself to meeting this demand, frequently working long hours six days a week to serve as many clients as possible. However, the growing need far exceeds our current capacity. We urgently need to expand in order to provide timely care for all, especially children who cannot afford to wait, as time is of the essence for this crucial therapy.

Our Vision for the Future

• Hire additional therapists to reduce waiting times and provide more immediate care.
• Secure a larger space to accommodate more clients and expand our range of therapies.
• Raise awareness of oncology massage’s critical role in cancer care.
• Develop educational resources and establish OMC as a training center for other therapists, helping to spread the benefits of oncology massage beyond our community.
