The Overtown Youth Center was founded two decades ago by NBA Hall-of-Famer Alonzo Mourning and real estate developer Martin Z. Margulies. Since its founding, the Overtown Youth Center has enriched the lives of people in Overtown and the surrounding communities. Devoted to offering resources and services that uplift and help those in the community, the Overtown Youth Center has been a change agent for legions of people.

Today, the Overtown Youth Center has grown into a hub for not only youth, but the children, adults and families in our community. With a stellar history and remarkable accomplishments, including graduating 100% of its high school seniors, the Overtown Youth Center's impact will be felt for generations to come.

The Overtown Youth Center is a community development hub that provides a set of comprehensive programs and services for youth, adults and families in our community. As a community servicing agency, our main GOAL is to elevate the people we serve through educational, health and wellness, social, financial and career programs. Through our broad range of services, the Overtown Youth Center fosters hope, promotes lifelong learning and offers guidance and development, all while strengthening the entire community.

The Overtown Youth Center aims to promote success across future generations and inspire overall well-being and community prosperity. The Overtown Youth Center maintains its commitment to strengthening communities by serving as bridge; and bringing together the elements and resources people need to thrive. Through our innovative educational and 365-degree servicing approach, the Overtown Youth Center offers tools that gives persons the chance to flourish in life.
