The MUD Foundation is a forward-thinking nonprofit organization dedicated to exploring the intersection of art, technology, and education. Founded as a 501(c)(3) organization in 2017 by Cuban-born, US-based media artist Rodolfo Peraza, MUD aims to create art + tech programs and foster the art + tech community in Miami and beyond.

The MUD Foundation’s vision is to act as a catalyst for merging art and technology, serving as a vibrant hub connecting community, technology, and art. 

We are creating new paradigms in how art is created by artists, experienced by audiences, and valued by communities in the living networks era. Through our focus on extended reality (XR), real-time communication, and spatial computing, we anticipate a transformative shift in the internet's future, enabling cultural organizations to transcend physical constraints and expand their reach significantly.

MUD's mission is to empower artists and communities by offering access, knowledge, and networking opportunities at the intersection of art, technology, and society. Through exhibitions and educational programs, we harness art and technology to ignite creativity, build social networks, and advance inclusivity. Central to our mission is reducing barriers to participation in XR art creation and online engagement. We collaborate with artists, technologists, art institutions, and educational organizations to develop inclusive web-based XR experiences.
