Founded in 1973, Miami Rowing Club is Miami's premier rowing club, a non-profit organization with an active youth development program for our community. Teaching young rowers respect for the legacy of participating in one of the oldest sports. MRC youth rowers are a diverse group of students from all over Miami-Dade County who have enjoyed decades of competitive success in local, state, regional, national, and international competitions. Youth Participants have access to year-round training programs at multiple age and skill levels including: Middle School Rowing Program, novice and Varsity with daily practices available. Adult/ Masters program, Learn to Row, Summer Camp, Summer Nationals Elite Camp, Semi-annual Basin clean-up with both Masters and Youth program participation. Miami Rowing Club also has a youth program scholarship funds program to help youth rowers in financial needs so that our rowing community reflects our local community.9

Mission

Our mission is to promote the sport of rowing and to provide education on the benefits of rowing for all ages and abilities with its greatest focus on its youth development and scholarship program. The program impacts the youth participant's lives in a positive way by promoting self-confidence, respect for their teammates and the importance of teamwork and environmental stewardship through the Basin Clean Up program.
