Miami Bridge Youth & Family Services, Inc. (Miami Bridge) adheres to the philosophical tenet that strong and healthy families are the building blocks of our society. We believe the barometer that measures the level of future community prosperity is the well-being of today's children.

Miami Bridge's services are designed to assist families in opening communication lines, enabling parents and guardians to develop the skills necessary to provide guidance and structure for their children while empowering them with the knowledge and skills essential to redirect at-risk children.

Our youth development services provide opportunities for youngsters to discover their strengths and talents, set personal goals, make positive choices, and develop the strength and resiliency necessary to overcome the challenges that confront them successfully.

To demonstrate our commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of youth and families, we provide the "Miami Bridge Code of Guiding Principles," which our Board of Directors adopted in 1997. This Code of Guiding Principles details our commitment to providing result-oriented, child/family-centered, customer-driven, performance-based, and community-based services.

Mission

The mission of Miami Bridge Youth and Family Services Inc. is to promote positive youth development and strengthen and support families to enable children to reach their full potential to become productive community members.

As Miami-Dade County's only 24-hour emergency shelter for abused, neglected and abandoned youth ages 10-17, we are driven by the vision of a community in which every child can access the full range of social, educational, and institutional opportunities necessary to succeed in life.

Our organization provides short-term emergency housing and other critical services for youth, ages 10 to 17, who are in crisis, homeless, involved in the juvenile justice system, or in foster care due to abuse, neglect, or abandonment. Miami Bridge's community-based programs offer services to families whose children struggle with truancy, behavioral or academic issues at school - and struggling at home. Miami Bridge provides services to help families remain together.
